About Us

Umbrella Managed Systems was founded in 2007 by Heath Stover and Trent Peters as Umbrella Medical Systems. The mission was simple: Solve the slow adoption of information technology in many private physician practices. The business grew quickly, so in 2013 the company rebranded as Umbrella Managed Systems, to better highlight the growing number of clients in various industries.

Today Umbrella also works with medical offices, legal firms, and a variety of small to mid-sized businesses throughout the Kansas City area.

Umbrella offers a unique Information Technology Managed Service Program, often called ITMS, which streamlines the day-to-day technology needs of our clients.
