Each quarter Umbrella generates an update of all the news and content we’ve created over the past three months. For Q4 2022, we have a special holiday edition newsletter and a lot of exciting news to share with you. As always please forward the update to colleagues and friends.
In case you missed it, here are some of our favorite blog posts and important client communications from the last 90 days.
October was Cybersecurity Awareness month and we shared resources, tips, and other cybersecurity-related information. To make it easy to digest we recapped it all in one blog post, some of our favorite highlights are listed in the blog!
As part of Cybersecurity Awareness Month, we were interviewed by the Kansas City Business Journal to discuss in depth why some insurance carriers may deny cybersecurity coverage for the business. You can read the full blog post here.
The overall increase in cybercrimes and the exponential rise in sophisticated ransomware attacks are changing the cost of doing business. More than ever, Umbrella Managed Systems is investing resources to reduce risks and keep our clients from becoming victims of cybercrime. In parallel, many insurance carriers are seeking to transfer the risk of cybercrime to your business and service providers like Umbrella.
Unfortunately, insurance carriers often mandate IT security measures implemented before policy renewal, leaving some organizations denied critical coverage. Please watch this important video update regarding the current cybersecurity landscape, the impacts on your business, and the proactive steps Umbrella is taking. Visit our blog to read more about this and check out an important video message from Trent Peters.
Making the transition from Military to civilian life can pose challenges for many veterans. In fact, most veterans go from driving tanks, carrying rifles, and being deployed before making the transition to civilian life. Many of our veterans here at Umbrella worked in IT or handled IT while serving. Moving from military service to a Managed Services Provider in Kansas City just made sense. Visit our blog and meet the IT heroes at Umbrella!
Every day our team works hard to become Kansas City’s favorite MSP. As part of our core values, we strive to build ideal team players that embody the virtues of hungry, humble, and smart. While we are committed to delivering high-value solutions and services to our clients we are also committed to giving back to our community. Since 2018 we have partnered with the children’s charity organization, Shadow Buddies Foundation.
Over the years, the Umbrella team has repeatedly volunteered to help support this incredible organization. For 2022 we’re hungry to do even more. This year our team rallied and started early on the organization’s Holiday Hugs Toy Drive for Kids and ran a company-wide Christmas in July Toy Drive! We also conducted our annual toy drive over the holiday season.
This year the Umbrella team participated in a dinner detective experience unlike any other. Our team used our Smarts to work together to gather the evidence and solve the crime. It was a great night of fellowship, fun, and laughter. As always, our team looks forward to coming together, taking a break from work, and having some time to unwind.
Now more than ever before, Security Awareness Training is important for your organization. The leadership team at Umbrella takes cybersecurity very seriously and has made security awareness training part of the ITMS program. Every month we send mock phishing tests to our staff and our clients to help them become more aware of suspicious emails.
Every team member at Umbrella strives to be an ideal team player. The ideal team player embodies three virtues: humility, hunger, and people smarts. The power of this combination drastically accelerates and improves the process of building high-performing teams. Our staff continually submits votes for colleagues that exemplify the HHS traits and at the end of the quarter, a winner is selected.
Congratulations to these winners and all the staff at Umbrella. It’s a hardworking team like this that allows us to provide quality IT services.
