A couple of years ago, we expanded into the space on the 3rd floor of our building and created a fabulous conference room. It seems that since then, we’ve held nearly every meeting, and hosted every party, in our office. Which is fine, we’re spoiled to have a nice conference room with a projector that displays on an entire wall. We like the convenience of staying here. And it allows us to be budget-friendly as we don’t have to rent event space. However, once in a while, it’s fun to get out. A change of scenery can be a good thing.
We haven’t done a team building/group outing in a while, so we combined our Town Hall with a Summer Event and gathered at Chicken N Pickle on Friday the 13th. (I know, Friday the 13th, right?)
While, I can’t reveal the details of our super secret company meeting, I can say that we had a lot of fun together. It’s not far from the office, which made it easier for everyone to be on time. The event space was just the right size for our group, and our server was amazing! She knew exactly how to move around and take care of us without interrupting the meeting. And when we ordered appetizers, we let her pick her favorites. We weren’t disappointed!
This was most everyone’s first experience at Chicken N Pickle. Unfortunately, we reserved the room too late to get courts so we didn’t get to play as a group. I heard some of the guys did hang around to play after the meeting. The entire place was very lively. The food was great. We will definitely have to do this again!
